On your next trip across the pond, discover sailing in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere!
On our last trip across the pond in August, we celebrated hubby’s birthday with a relaxing 90 minute sailing trip out of Ogunquit, Maine. One of my husbands favorite pastimes is sailing. The open ocean, the sights and sounds of being at sea, the scents of the saltwater are all so very therapeutic.
While there are many options for boat tours out of Ogunquit, Maine, we opted for the Silver Lining sailboat tour for its’ intimate setting of 6 passengers and for the history of the sailboat. My husband is an avid fan of Hinckley boats! Check out the link below to see the different tour options with the Silver Lining:

A lovely sail aboard a premier yacht, built by the Hinckley company was the perfect way to celebrate hubby’s birthday! We sailed on the Silver Lining. A 42 foot Sparkman and Stephens sloop sailboat. She was built in 1939 entirely of wood and bronze by builder Henry R Hinckley, from Maine!
In 1982 the Silver Lining was purchased by her present owner, Captain Jack, restored over many years, and repurposed as a “for hire” day sailor. She offers day sailing trips through the spring, summer and fall months.

Our sailing trip took place at 6:30 PM for an hour and a half. We were at sea to experience the sunset! The Atlantic was perfect for sailing that night, with lovely breezes and calm waters ~

Experiencing the sunset aboard this beautiful boat was breathtaking!

The two person crew, Captain Jack and his mate, were welcoming and friendly. They exuded confidence and ensured all guests were comfortable. My hubby enjoyed getting to know Captain Jack and discussing all things sailing ~

So, if you’re up for an adventure, and have a love for the sea as we do, explore the many options available in Ogunqit, Maine on the Atlantic coast!
