I’ve never been a big fan of sushi, but I decided to give it a whirl again and tried this delightful variety while on vacation in Corfu. My husband even gave it a go! We enjoyed the different flavors and even gave the wasabi a little dip! Caution~ just a tiny, tiny bit of wasabi goes a verrry long way!!! It’s very hot and spicy but adds a lovely tang to the sushi!
The shaved ginger is used as a palate cleanser before you move on to a different piece of sushi. Very tasty! I did find I’m not very proficient at using chopsticks but hubby is a pro!
However, for our main course we stayed with the tried and true steak filet. Medium rare, aged beef, tender and so flavorful!
And of course, there’s always desert!
A lovely bottle of Greek red wine as a go with and our meal was complete!
Tomorrow we will be exploring Old Town Corfu. I am so excited to explore and try some authentic delicious Greek fare!
