Last week we celebrated my lovely sister-in-laws birthday and her husband, chef Gavin, prepared an amazing Paella (pronounced pai·eh·luh) for all to enjoy! Paella is a classic Spanish dish and is a delicious, tasty dish to explore and to help maintain that ever important healthy life balance!
Paella is said to have originated in Valencia, on Spain’s eastern coastline, where it’s traditionally made with meat and/or seafood cooked on an open fire. See the link below for the basic recipe, but add your own special touches!

For our appetizer we started with delicious Padron Peppers. These lovely peppers are cooked in olive oil and seasoned with sea salt. Explore this scrumptious and healthy dish.
However, beware of the one or two that slip in and can be just a bit spicy!!!

Of course, equally important to some, to help maintain that life balance, a little wine is sometimes in order. Discover The Chocolate Block, a barrel aged red wine. Explore this lovely wine, juicy with ripe plums, violets, black olives, cloves, and licorice!
