Another successful visit to Yank country!
A little more than two weeks ago I began my visit to Yank country, in Central Massachusetts, and shared with you my readers each step of the way.
In those two weeks, I have seen my children and grandchildren multiple times.
Spent two full days with my oldest and his partner in Western Mass. Had my fave dinner of corned beef and cabbage, had a delicious brunch, and filled his attic with bins of my old photos! We walked the woods and even made some progress training their 65 pound 8-month-old puppy! Lots of hugs, love and connecting with them.
Shared time with my middle son and his partner and my 3 gorgeous grandchildren. We had dinners together, made blanket forts, had a makeup girly night with my granddaughter, colored with my grandsons, and had a pizzeria lunch with my mum! She adored seeing all of her great grandchildren!
Spent a day with my youngest in New York City. Had a lovely time walking around Central Park on a gorgeous spring day. Took in the sights, had a small lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in the heart of the city, caught up with our hugs and kisses, and overall had a great day together.
Had lots of time with mum. We took drives around the surrounding towns on nice sunny days, went to the casino twice (her favorite activity), spent time visiting with her sisters, had some of her favorite meals out, and overall had some awesome quality time together.
I was also able to see my niece numerous times!! She cooked me a lovely homemade dinner that we shared with her amazing family, she ventured to the casino with me and my mum and we had some great laughs. We had an awesome lunch out together with her mum, my mum and our aunts!
Spent some great time with my aunt. Chilling at the end of the day together, watching movies, eating snacks we shouldn’t have, but mainly laughing and staying close.
This trip also gave me enough time to see my cousins and some very good friends!
Overall a fantastic trip, though very, very busy! I actually had a printed out calendar itinerary so I didn’t miss anyone or anything!
And I have to mention again the milestones I’ve reached since I’ve been in Yank country! 5000 views on my blog, 100 posts, and finally emptying out my storage unit!

Now…back to home in Brit country. To my wonderful husband, who I’ve missed terribly, and back to my Brit family and friends. We already have dinner plans for Easter Sunday with just hubby and me, a night out planned with friends next Monday, and a special birthday celebration planned for my amazing sister-in-law with her lovely family!
Whew! Is it worth it? Absolutely. Do I miss both sides of the pond? Of course!!!! That’s what makes this blog so important to me. A way to stay connected and share no matter where I am!
So I’ll be flying out tonight, an overnight flight. I land in Brit country Friday in the A.M.
Passport-check!
An extra bag purchased for the flight home – check!
All devices charged to keep me occupied – check!
Plans with Yank friends to visit Brit country in the summer – check!
Memories made – double and triple check!!!
