Getting Into the Swing of Things Back in Yank Country…

Visiting family and friends, driving on the “right” side of the road, lunching at a Yank restaurant.

After landing in Boston MA Logan Airport at midnight, making my way through immigration and customs , gathering my bags (full of Brit chocolate), procuring a rental car, driving to my aunt’s, catching about 5 hours of sleep over a 24 hour time period…all worth it after spending the day with my mum, aunts, my son and his partner, and my awesome grandkids, absolutely priceless!!!

Enjoyed a late lunch with my aunts at a local restaurant, I didn’t have any Yank specific food. I had BREKKY at 3:30 PM! My body clock is still off, and after seeing the menu served breakfast all day, it was a YUMMY choice!

My two aunts, and a longtime family friend…who is from…Brit Country! Tottenham (a borough of sorts of London). She has been in Yank country for decades, but still has that lovely Brit accent! (she’s the one on the left in the green jumper/sweater). She and I talked of tea, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Covent Gardens, all of the tourist attractions in London, and compared notes! It was a little flavor of both sides of the pond at our lunch!
