After a hectic week of work, a mid-week dinner out with friends is a sure way to maintain the ever important Life Balance!

This amazing local restaurant, Karma Cafe and Meze, was a true delight!  Explore this wonderful Mediterranean style restaurant located in Broadstone, Dorset England. and achieve your mid-week life balance!

For our starters we had such an abundance it felt like they were the main course!

We were delighted by fresh Hummus, Tzatziki, Aubergine Ratatouille, Baby Broad Beans, Salt and Pepper Squid and Tabule!  Everything was fresh, crisp and so tasty!  The Tabule and Hummus were my faves!  The Tabule salad was lovely with loads of fresh and tasty chopped parsley, crushed wheat, lemon juice and mint, tomato, onions and pomegranate!  The combined flavor was delightful!

Our main course was spinach and feta stuffed pastry (another of my faves!), grilled lamb and chicken, and falafel, all served with a fresh and scrumptious Greek salad!

The atmosphere was comfy and cozy, Mediterranean style!

With such amazing and friendly service I felt like we were dining at the table of some new found Greek friends!

And just to ensure our mid-week life balance, the “Evil Eye” (Mati) was watching over us.  The “Evil Eye” is believed to be a curse that is given by a glare that has negative intentions. Any negative emotion can cause the evil eye (Mati) curse, such as anger or even jealousy.  Furthermore, it is believed that the curse itself causes bad things to happen to the person who has received the curse!  When you wear a special evil eye charm (also called a Mati), or display the charm in your home or business  is said to help prevent the curse from even happening.  The last time I went to Greece, I brought a Mati home and have it hanging in my den (snug)!
