Some pastries from a local bakery to have an afternoon tea across the pond…
Picked up mum today and spent some time at my lovely auntie’s house for a Yank afternoon tea!
Mykonos Bakery in Millbury, MA Yank country has some decadent pastries to boost your afternoon!
Take a look! What would you choose???? Chocolate Eclair? Cream Puff? Chocolate Bomb filled with custard? Chocolate pudding tart with cream and chocolate shavings? Whoopie Pie? (and if you are gluten intolerant, they had many gluten free options too!!!)

This local bakery is always a must-do when I come to town! The only downfall (besides the calories) is that no matter where you go in a small town you will see someone you know! There is no sneaking in and out with your stash! I met a neighbor from when I lived here and we chatted for about 15 minutes. We tcaught up on the kids, the grandkids, and the old neighborhood…and she saw me walk out with these goodies (no secrets)!!!
I of course had to take a piece of spanakopita (spinach pie) and have that for my lunch! I’m getting ready for our trip to Greece next month!!!
In the evening a couple of drinks with a very good friend at Chuck’s Steakhouse and Margarita Grill in Auburn, MA Yank country. I am so very lucky to have this friend—the kind where you don’t see each other for months and when you finally get the chance to get together, you fall right back into that warm and comfortable zone like no time has passed at all.

Another wonderful day! The weather didn’t cooperate today though…rainy and chilly!!! But the pastries and margarita helped warm me up!
